Refurbished Motorola™ and Vanguard Networks™ routers are provided with Vanguide® revision 5.1M ONS. This software is publicly released for use by Motorola Internetworking Group (ING) for applicable Motorola MPR and Vanguard platforms. Refurbished Vanguard Routers requiring ONS 5.2 or later to operate are sold without ONS software loaded.

Commencing with Vanguide® revision 5.2, Motorola™ and Vanguard Networks™ software is licensed to the original user under a intellectual property rights "SHRINK WRAP" agreement, stating that a separate license is required for each router operating this software. The agreement also states that licenses for Vanguide® revision 5.2 and later software are non-transferable between end-users. Therefore, customers requiring Vanguide® 5.2 or later software must own or purchase a license for each router on which this software will operate.

Other licensing conditions and limitation are outlined in the Motorola™ and Vanguard Networks™ license agreement. Understanding these conditions and limitations are the sole responsiblity of the user of this software.
