Support -Access requirements

 

Customer's requiring router configuration or dial-in support must supply any of the following access methods:
  1. A V.32 compliant MODEM, (9600bps 8-N-1, auto-answer, echo disabled), attached to the command terminal port (CTP) of the router or network requiring service. Or the router must have an internal CTP MODEM. The MODEM must be connected to a telephone line accessible from the public switched telephone network (PSTN). Please provide the telephone number of this line when requesting support, including country and area codes where applicable. WANtech sells a compatible MODEM, delivered to any U.S. address for a one-time charge for $75.00. The MODEM comes pre-configured and includes the Vanguard™ CTP cable and installation instructions.
  2. VPN access via the Internet, supplying WANtech with a USER/password combination and TCP/IP addressing for the devices requiring configuration, or support.

Existing networks with password protection will need to have the password protection removed for the duration of the support period, or the router password/s supplied to WANtech.
